Research from a UK hair transplant clinic has revealed that the majority of British women don’t find their perfect hairstyle until their thirties. The top age for obtaining a perfect hairstyle is 32 _ at the time of writing, that’s the same age as Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer and Hayley Atwell of Captain America fame.

If the survey is to be believed, men have to wait even longer to find the style that suits them best _ 39 was found to be the average age. 39-year-old male celebs include Tobey Maguire (Spiderman), Zach Braff (Scrubs) and Russell Brand.

The survey also estimated the average number of bad hair days we experience whilst on the quest for the perfect hairstyle. Women average two bad hair days a week, meaning that on average it takes over 1,600 bad hair days from the age of 16 to 32 before finding that perfect hairstyle. For men, the average number of bad hair days is just one a week, equating to just less than 1,200 by the time they’ve nailed down their ideal look.

While the study is certainly only a vague estimate, its results could be the foundation for a smart series of marketing emails for your salon. If you have salon management software, start an email campaign based on the survey. If you have the date of birth of your clients, you could even target 32-year-old clients specifically.
